RICHARD BLACK is a guru of mental health and relationships, and is coming to Palmy! We’ve asked him to provide a workshop at Hope on Saturday 12th July on 2 topics. From 9am-12noon he’ll cover; understanding ourselves and others better as he demystifies mental health. He will cover the dynamics behind why we feel what we feel, and do what we do, and will look at our 3 drivers, belief, emotions, need. Then we lunch which is provided.
The afternoon will start with lunch at noon, so we can all be together, then Richard will teach into symptoms of mental distress including risk factors and protection factors for suicidality. He will also cover frameworks for caring for others.
This is a paid event open to the public at $45. Hope member discount is available and a further discount for any wanting to be there but struggling to pay.

Richard is the founder and director of Mind Health. He is sought after as a counsellor, coach and communicator, and has been involved in people work for over 25 years. Richard has the knack of being able to communicate complex issues in a way that is practical and easy to understand. Through his counselling, training, and public speaking he helps people enhance their thinking, be proactive in relationships, and thrive in life.

Julian Browne from Mission Without Borders NZ – long time friend of both Vineyard NZ and New Wine with his senior leader Tak Bhana – has served us as a, musician, speaker and leader. Fresh from a recent field trip to Eastern Europe, Julian will share powerful, firsthand stories of these former communist and soviet countries, and how the Gospel is making a tremendous impact. Come with your family and friends as we worship, pray, and hear what God is doing through his people on the frontlines.
